ABOUT

Gabrielle Paré (she/her)
(b.1989 amiskwacîwâskahikan/Edmonton, Canada)

As a visual artist, I am interested in limits and constraints. I am working with drawing and installation in an upcoming solo exhibition about the limits of language (Tenthaus, 2025); writing and publishing in a project about the constraints of cultural identity (artist book produced with Hverdag Books, 2025); and collaboration and performance in a project about restrictive immigration laws in Norway (upcoming publication for the project KUNSTFELTET, 2026). Put another way, I work conceptually to create images, texts and experiences that challenge the borders of reality.
